College Work
I found some images from some work I completed in college.
These images are from my college FMP show. I chose to look at make do and mend from WW2. I researched into how Women had to ration their clothing and make do with what they already had. I decided to make a sewing box and the things that you normally find in them. The sewing boxes are made from clay along with the knitting needles, buttons and the cotton reel at the bottom.
These cotton reels were made from fabric.I embroidered all the writing on the top and then constructed the cotton reels. they are stuffed in the middle so that it made them look 3D
I made this cake stand in my 1st year at college. My these was English garden party. I decided to look at vintage gardens and it made me think of cakes and cake stands. The whole cake stand is made from clay along with some of the cupcakes and the large cake on top. I then made some fabric cakes and the bunting around the edge. I really enjoyed this project as it was everything I love VINTAGE AND CAKES!
This is a quick drawing of a cake from my Garden Party project. I used color on one half and black and white on the other side. I used colored paper and then pastels over the top and then just a pencil for the black and white side. I loved how this turned out as i like how there is a contrast between the colors .
This is a paper dress I made as a quick exercise in textiles, I worked in a team of 4 and this is what we created in a short period of time.

Cath Kidston Newcastle
For my report that I am doing in professional studies I will be writing about Cath Kidston. Today I visited one of her shops in Newcastle. I took images of some of my favorite items and the shop layout. I love how the shop was set out like a house. I also bought myself a cute little lanyard. Here are some of the images I took from the shop.

Paris
For my recent module I chose to look at Paris architecture.Although I have never been to Paris I was really interested in all of the beautiful buildings. For my primary research I used images my sister sent me from when she visited in July 2014. These are some of the images my sister sent me.
