My next module I am looking at French architecture, focusing on Paris. I will create two cushions and a neck piece for my final outcome. I have collected some research to get some inspiration looking at different French patterns and Paris architecture. I will start by creating some observational drawings from the research I have collected. Here is a photo of my bay.

Chanel Fashion Show
I have recently watched the Chanel Haute Couture 2015 SPRING/SUMMER fashion show. The whole show is amazing. I love how they have used an interesting set that relates to the collection. It makes watching it more exciting. Here is the link to the show.

Print and Embroidery
For my recent module I have been experimenting with textiles techniques including print and embroidery. I used some drawings that I had created from my first module and recreated them in fabric. I created a fabric Fanta can and flower. I used mainly printed techniques for the can and embroidery for the flower. This is the first time I have used print techniques and I think I have used them successfully. I was hard trying to figure out how to create my koda trace design but now I feel very confident doing more designs for my future modules. I love doing machine and hand embroidery and I think my flower shows a lot of different techniques.

Cath Kidston
Cath Kidston
Cath Kidston is one of my favorite designers. I love how unique and personal her work is. She sell all sorts of products from handbags and purses to homeware and clothing. Her designs are always very bright and fun. I have been looking at some of her new designs on her website and came across this patchwork collection. I absolutely love her choice of color and patterns she has used. The colors work really works well together and it gives it a fun feel. When creating a design its interesting how she applies it to different products to make it all work as a collection. Looking closing at her work and owing some of her products myself I find that everything is very durable. the stitching is very neat and strong. For example both bags and the purse had a glossing finish so it is easy to wipe down. It also makes them waterproof.
